Guangzhou, China — May 12, 2026 — ARMOR (华芒光电) has shipped shelf lighting to retailers for years. Now the company is releasing a magnetic power track system that lets store staff move and replace lamps without tools or electricians. The system uses a thin metal rail that mounts under shelves. Lamps snap into place magnetically and draw power through the rail. Removing or repositioning a lamp takes seconds—no unscrewing, no wiring, no ladder.
How Magnetic Track Lighting Works
The track carries low-voltage DC power. Each lamp has a magnetic base that attaches to the rail and makes electrical contact automatically. Staff pull a lamp off, move it, and snap it back on. Practical results:
- Seasonal layout changes: staff rearrange lighting themselves instead of calling maintenance
- Lamp replacement: swap a failed unit in seconds, no tools needed
- New fixture trials: test different lamp positions before committing
The track is thin enough to hide under most shelf profiles. It mounts with screws or adhesive strips depending on the shelf material.
Magnetic Track System Product Line
The magnetic track works with ARMOR’s existing shelf lighting line. Options:
| Product | Voltage | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Ultra-thin magnetic track | 12V/24V | Standard retail shelving |
| Mini power track | 12V/24V | Compact spaces, display cases |
| Super-thin track system | 24V | Hidden installation, clean look |
| Linear power rail | 24V | Supermarket aisles, long runs |
Tracks are steel with anodized finish. They work with ARMOR’s magnetic LED bars, spot modules, and custom fixtures.
Installation: New Shelves and Retrofits
New shelves: Mount the track during shelf assembly. Wire to a standard 12V or 24V driver. ARMOR sizes the driver based on lamp count and run length. Existing shelves: Retrofit the track underneath current shelving. The thin profile—typically 8-15mm depending on model—fits most setups without visible bulk. Power taps connect at either end. ARMOR offers a pilot program: sample track and lamps for testing in one store or display area before a full rollout.
Why Retailers Need Wireless Shelf Lighting
Retailers deal with two lighting headaches. Seasonal resets mean moving fixtures, which usually requires an electrician and downtime. Failed lamps sit unreplaced because scheduling maintenance costs more than the lost light. “We kept hearing the same thing from store managers and shelf manufacturers,” said Lisa Lee, Founder of ARMOR. “They wanted flexibility without the service call. This track system is our answer—staff can handle it themselves.” ARMOR has used magnetic track technology in custom projects for several years. This launch makes it a standard product line.
